Senior Rugby League at Wests Mitchy: Tradition & Growth

In 2024, we celebrate our 68th season and the 30th anniversary of our Senior Football program. From juniors to seniors, Wests Mitchy remains dedicated to fostering rugby excellence.

Senior Program Evolution

This year, our Under 19's team joins the senior competition, creating a seamless pathway for young players. We will field an Open Mens team, with plans for a Masters team (over 35’s) in 2025, welcoming a broader range of players.

Community & Exposure

We’re reinstating a Senior’s sub-committee to shape our senior program. The expansion of our senior teams will boost club visibility, attracting more support via social media, game attendance, and key events like Ladies Day and Old Boys Day.

Strategic Partnerships

Our partnerships with West Brisbane Panthers and the BRL Grade Competition allow us to host up to 7 senior games on game days, enhancing player experience and increasing our presence in the rugby community.
